Once again we're continuing to roll out and implement new functionality to Unity. In fact, we're announcing two new features: Wiki, and a Translator.
The Wiki has actually been in testing with you guys for a little while. The Monster Hunter section has had a couple of our fans, Moises, FH, and Yuffie creating and adding new content. Check out their work in progress here!
This isn't just for one section though. You can get to the wiki for any group by simply adding a "/wiki/" after the group URL. For instance, "www.capcom-unity.com/monster_hunter/wiki/"
Much like Wikipedia, the content is all added and created by you. So have fun adding in all the new and cool content to the groups! If you have some comments or need help, post it in this thread.
Our next new feature is the Translator beta. It hovers next to the blog title on our home page and our official blog page. Just click on the Google icon to drop down the selection flags. It will translate the blog into Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Russian, and English. This is still in the beta stage, so there might be some quirkiness.
Remember when we first put the Mega Man Press kits in the Capcom Store? You were excited, and had to have one! But... you may have lived outside of North America. Now it's time to cheer up! After listening to you fans, we've decided to open up international shipping in our Capcom Store. This means you can finally get those rare items like the Tricell Press Kit, FLOCK! Play Set, Mega Man 9 Soundtrack, and loads of other sweet swag if you live outside of North America.
We're not going to hide the fact that international shipping is expensive. That said, we're keeping the shipping cost to you exactly what we pay to get it to you. We're not making profit on it.
Everything in the store besides games will ship to you. So you can get all the shirts, figures, soundtracks, press kits, controllers, etc. that were previously not available to you.
Now your Capcom collections can be complete no matter where you live! Be on the look out for more exclusive swag in the Capcom Store.
As much as it pains me to admit, Team Unity is on Twitter and has begun paying attention. Thanks to the lovely little app Tweetdeck, we're "tweeting" (ugh) more regularly, responding to @s thrown our way and even searching for other people Twittering about Capcom. My favorite tweet (sigh) today comes courtesy of Twitterer Belmont Heir (belmontheir on Twitter) who proclaims:
Kevin Smith is teaming up with Capcom for his next movie: Zack & Wiki Make a Porno. XD
I would totally watch that movie! And it would probably be funnier than Mallrats, Clerks 2 and Dogma put together. Which wouldn't be too hard, 'cause all three of those movies stank up the place. Sexier, too. I see the way you look at me, Wiki, making those dewey monkey eyes at me.
SFIV Gaming Magazine covers sweep the globe! The covers above are for PSM3 (UK), SIN (Mexico), and the un-published EGM cover. As you can imagine, these issues touch on all the great things SFIV has to offer. SIN has two variations, and a ten-page spread filled with art and in-depth coverage. PSM3 talks their hands-on with SFIV. What did they say? You'll just have to go pick these up to find out. ;)
ScrewAttack put together another of their always-great Top 10 lists, this time focusing on games that need to be brought back.
After giving Capcom the props for revisiting games like Bionic Commando and of course Street Fighter, he mentions a few things I'd personally like to see (like Starfox!), as well as a bunch of choices from the Capcom stable, including Power Stone, Strider, and... I won't give away their #1 choice.
But really? People want that? We had no idea! Anyway, tell us, what games do YOU think Capcom should revisit?
