It's been a eventful couple of days{personal-wise, of course}, but i'm back here once again at Unity. First thing's first, my thoughts on UFC 109: Relentless: As some of you already know, the main drawing point for this event is the showdown between Randy "The Natural" Couture and Mark "The Hammer" Coleman. Not only it's the first time we'll see two former Heavyweight champions but it's also the first{and possibly only} time we'll see two active UFC Hall of Famers compete against each other in the Octagon. Randy needs a win because he's one of the world's best, but Mark needs a win much more than Randy does. And if you were paying attention to the countdown shows and some of his fights, you'll probably see why. Besides that, there's also seven time King of Pancrase Nate "The Great" Marquardt facing off against Chael Sonnen in the co-main event, The Ultimate Fighter season 1 standout Mike "Quick" Swick battles rising star Paulo Thiago and former UFC Welterweight Champion Matt "The Terror' Serra fights it out against Frank Trigg. There's also a undercard fight that cought my attention, a fight that involves a Gracie. Yeah, that's what i said, the Gracies are coming back to the UFC, well..... sort of. His name is Rolles{most likely pronounced Holles} Gracie, and he's a bit of a newcomer to MMA. But if you were around the early days of the UFC or know a thing or two about Brazillan Jiu-Jitsu, then you know how the majority of the Gracies fight. ;) If you want a little more info on Rolles, then check out his first handful of fights online and the UFC Magazine. That's it on that, but i'll post the fight card in a bit. Next up, the Strider 3 Fan Insert Artwork Competition: The contest still hasn't officially started yet, so those of you who wish to enter still have some time to finish your work for it. But don't forget, the deadline is the 14th, that's Valentine's Day for those of you who don't know. lol XD Also, be sure to tell everyone you know about the contest. :D Here's the link to where the contest will go down: {www.capcom-unity.com/striderclan} Also the blog for the ruleset: {www.capcom-unity.com/striderclan/blog/20...} Next off, my GED and martial arts classes: I'm preparing to take those classes as we speak, and i'm starting on Monday coming up, then again on Wednesday. It's the Spring program, it's on a bi-weekly basis, and it takes place in the evening. Meaning, don't expect me to be around here too often during those two days. :X However, i won't have any problems within the rest of the week. :) Plus i'm saving up enough cash to join this Aikido school that isn't too far from where i'm satying at, but problem is i'm still searching for a new home at the same time. :X Anyway, i'll work something out. Finally, my Moderator quest: It's still on-going, but i'm thinking positive about the Moderator spot. I have nothing else to do right now, and i'm just about set to go for it. It appears that the first month of 2010 is just about over, and i have to tell you, we definitely got off to quite a exicting and also a depressing start. Hopefully all that will change in February. I know that's what i'm hoping for, considering what's happened to myself and my extended family over the last couple of years or so. But slowly-but-surely, it seems things are finally starting to look up. I'm not going to bring up anything else regarding that at this time, but what i will say however, is i'm not going to rest until it's all taken care of. :) In addition, i'm going to start taking GED{that's General Educational Development} lessons in the coming months, so don't expect me to be on here as often as normal, however if i hear anything, i'll be sure to bring it up. ;) Lastly, i'm still waiting for the Moderator spot. I'm willing to wait for as long as necessary until i finally get my shot, and i really hope 2010 is finally my year. Anyway, when that happens, i'll be there. :D Well, that's enough about me, let's move on to something different: Strikeforce: Miami. It's Strikeforce's first show in the east coast, and they're looking to make a good impression. The fight card is pretty sweet too{two title match-ups, the MMA debut of Herschel Walker, and the Strikeforce debuts of Bobby Lashley, Melvin Manhoef and Marius Zaromskis, who's the DREAM Welterweight Champion}. Finally, the best part is it's free on Showtime, so i'm definitely watching it. Strikeforce; Miami is next Saturday night, so if i were you, i'd get ready for it. Oh yeah i almost forgot, i'm still looking for a third judge for the Strider 3 cover art contest that's going down at the Strider Hub.
