Favorite Genres: Action-Adventure, Action, Fighting

Music: Game soundtracks, Orchestral stylings, and Eurobeat. Strange combination I know.

Movies: I'm a big Horror/ Suspense buff, as long as the movie has good cinematography... I'm in.

TV: Don't really watch much TV these days, nothing really good on anymore.

Books: The occasional educational book that are in my areas of interest. Atstronomy, Entomology, etc...

Likes: Eating [Not that you can tell.], Gaming, Cosplaying, Drawing.

Dislikes: People who try to hard, Hip-hop, Country.

Alright, this picture was taken the day of Halloween in Downtown LA. My friend snapped a shot of myself, and my girlfriend, (her head is at the bottom of the screen) in between a mock fight for funny Halloween antics.

My friend has FINALLY uploaded a pic, but I feel like I had to nag him just to do so. I feel horrible because so many people have given me grief about this, but I know some wanted a picture recently taken and not a professionaly photograph.

I'm doing this strictly so people will HOPEFULLY get off my back somewhat.

But here it is.

I've asked to forfeit myself from the contest.

The sheer amount of animosity I have aimed at me is hard to really deal with. And, I understand completely where everyone is coming from. So, I've made the decision to ask to remove myself from the 1st Place seat, no title, no prize.

Give it to someone else. I had no intention from the beginning to win anything of anykind yet it happening kinda struck me in a way I didn't really understand. I don't want people to be angry at the Capcom staff for misscommunicating the rules of the contest and I don't want people to be angry at me.

The contest wasn't fixed. Coincidences taking place that made many angry and confused. I'm coming to everyone and being completely honest with you. My number one goal in entering the contest was to have fun. Show Capcom a costume many never do. It's nice to see peoples reactions and faces when they see a Dhalsim cosplayer. Considering not many do him in the first place. So, to reiterate. My aim was to show them something new, not to take a win from people who deserve it more.

Because in my opinion. I don't deserve it either. And that takes a lot for me to say. I've never won anything before it's true. But, I want to win something on fairer terms and fairer grounds with everyone else.

I don't want, however, for people to misunderstand my means when I do something.

That's all that I ask.

I was Detective Gumshoe from the Ace Attorney games. I really wanted to be Miles Edgeworth, though I didn't have enough time to get everything together for it. I've got a blog post about it.

It was just a contest there, and some people don't seem to realize that the main point is to have fun, not to win prizes. But a lot of gamers are very, very competitive people, I guess.

I'm truly saddened that so many people have been giving you a hard time. I really do think you deserved to win, and regardless of what happened, they have no place antagonizing you. Period.

And to say that the pictures had to take place directly on the 31st is neither in the rules, nor should it be required. Heck, my picture was taken on the 30th, because that's when I had a Halloween party to go to. You followed the rules, and you won. I don't think you should feel that you have to forfeit, but I respect your decision.

Some people are just sore losers, though, and you should take what they say with a grain of salt. I hope this doesn't sour you from the community here. I know I'm new, but you're really sort of a role model to people like me. We need people like you around here.

Yeah, it all feels like a big mess now.

Good point about Dan--I guess when you are into cosplaying, like you and I are, you see the work put into a costume a bit more thoroughly than others.

I saw a Felicia that looked like some good work was put into that, so even I think she could have been a part of the 3rd spot--using convention pics as an example that is.

Also a Hunk.

But it is all in the past and it is all good, least for me, can't speak for the others.

Anyways, keep up the Grade A+ Dhalsim.

Do you see any pockets in my costume? I still managed to get some photos from both the 30th and 31st.

"I don't have any Halloween pics, all I have is these seemingly professionally taken photos from sometime last year... ah well, I'll just submit those cuz my costume looks really good in them."

Well played, I guess you found the loophole to bypass the assumed rules and take the win. I'll have to keep that tactic in mind for next year.... actually, I won't be bothering with this next year.
